The federal holiday of Labor Day is observed on the first Monday of September every year. This year that falls on the first day of September, Monday, September 1, 2025. This holiday honors American workers and “to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being,” according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

The holiday was signed into law by President Grover Cleveland in 1894.

The Labor Day weekend is also the unofficial end of summer. The actual end of summer is the autumnal equinox, Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2:19 PM. That is the day when the amount of daytime and nighttime are roughly the same. On Labor Day people celebrate with picnics, parades, barbecues, beach parties, fireworks and more.

We wish a Happy Labor Day to our customers, partners, and friends. Have a fun and safe weekend!
